Magic School Bus Rides Again Animal
In the Metropolis is the twelfth episode of the fourth flavor of The Magic School Coach. Information technology is about urban wildlife.
Plot
The grade goes on a "normal" field trip to the zoo and learn near animals in the city. Tim states that foxes won't alive in the city on their own if non for the zoo, and Dorothy Ann reads in her book that peregrine falcons are cliff dwellers who catch and eat other birds. When the zoo begins to close, the residual of the class searches for Ralphie and Wanda, who are watching opossums hanging from a tree branch by tails. Things don't stay normal for long when Ms. Frizzle comes around via The Magic Schoolhouse Bus and the students enter The Magic Schoolhouse Bus. When they explain to Ms. Frizzle that it is non feasible for zoo animals to live in urban habitat, Ms. Frizzle changes them all in to city animals (Tim, Arnold, and Phoebe are foxes; Ralphie, Wanda, and Keesha are possums; Dorothy Ann and Carlos are falcons, and Ms. Frizzle is a raccoon). They hide from the passersby and endeavour to enter The Magic Schoolhouse Bus. But when The Magic Schoolhouse Bus, which turned into a bear, wanders off, the class attempts to get afterward it. Carlos and Dorothy Ann fly after it and The Magic School Bear is on its style downtown. Carlos and Dorothy Ann inform the rest of the class this and they split up on a search for The Magic School Bear. Phoebe, Tim, and Arnold notices an opossum crossing the road without looking the slightest bit worried and eats an apple cadre from the garbage. Simply then, a dog whose owner called him Jake breaks free from his leash and chases later on the fox-transformed students.
The children hibernate within a shed and Jake's owner finally catches him and takes him abode with him. Just then, a plant pot spills and a raccoon emerges from backside it, much to the students' confusion. The raccoon devours the worms from the soil and the students exit the shed to meet the rest of the class exterior. Dorothy Ann and Carlos then wing abroad to search for the motorcoach and find night hawks flying below devouring moths. Carlos attempts to eat 1 of them. Only Dorothy Ann stops him and the ii keep searching through the city. They rest on height of a skyscraper and Dorothy Ann quotes Ms. Frizzle's line, "I person's skyscraper is another falcon's cliff".
Meanwhile, Arnold runs through the city to search for food and the rest of the class follows arrange. They terminate up in the alley and some humans spot The Magic School Conduct which appears to exist a normal carry in the alley. While they attempt to call someone, the rest of the class approaches The Magic School Behave and spots rats, who are scared away past an opossum. The opossum eats from the trash bag and the grade eats out of the garbage themselves. Arnold finally concedes that peradventure some wild animals tin survive in the metropolis and Phoebe and Tim proceed to search for the bear-transformed Magic School Bus.
Things escalate when animal control is looking for it. If the class doesn't get to it in time, they'll remain city animals forever. Meanwhile, Dorothy Ann and Carlos search for the omnibus themselves while flight above the city and the rest of the class navigate through the train tracks. They spot a fox scampering up the colina and the class follows it. They find that the pull a fast one on has a spouse and babies, who they feed expressionless animals to, inside a local graveyard and hide just in fourth dimension to spot the zookeepers searching for the double-decker transformed into a acquit at an endeavor to tranquilize it and take it to the forest.
So the class searches for The Magic School Bear and reports the bad news to Dorothy Ann and Carlos when they arrive. Phoebe begins to panic since a bear can't survive the metropolis streets and the class takes a whiff of food. They enter a local dump and finally find the bus into a pile of junk. The zookeepers search for the "bear" through the junk chiliad and Ms. Frizzle scares the zookeepers away. They wake up The Magic School Deport and congratulate information technology. Liz transforms The Magic School Carry and the others back to normal and the class explains how the wild fauna tin can survive in the city by finding food, shelter, and safety, and they are very adept of staying hole-and-corner from the humans' view. They enter The Magic School Bus and Ralphie concludes that, "This has been a comport of a field trip" right before the omnibus drives away.

- This is the third episode to focus on the iii characters, Arnold, Carlos and Dorothy Ann. The starting time being is Blows Its Acme, and 2nd being Makes a Rainbow.
- This episode has Liz'southward smallest function in the whole original series. It becomes very evident in the Producer Says segment.
- At the end of the episode, right after Ms. Frizzle and Liz board The Magic School Motorcoach, the doors close before she would sit in the driver's seat.
- Arnold'due south voice noticeably gets deeper in this episode, making him sound almost teenager-like. The reason for this is considering Danny Tamberelli, who voiced Arnold at the time, was going through puberty.
